The Brown Group Years
A full service design studio
The Brown Group was a full service design and marketing studio I formed in 1998. Much of the work on this page is from that incarnation. Surprisingly, while this work is over 20 years old in some cases, some of it still holds and could be used today.
The web was new at that point, so our services included:

- Catalog development
- Art direction, photography and photo retouching
- Web design, hosting, and content development
- Illustration
Shown at right is a page from a German client’s catalog of their ChouChou product line – one of several of their baby doll products. Below is the back cover of the Titus Cycle catalog.
Children’s product illustrations
From vehicle wraps to summer reading programs, custom illustration helped to make material relatable to children.
Branding
Corporate identity, logo development, and branding were common projects, as with this folder for a mobile lithotripsy unit, including brochure and informational packet.
Catalogs
Catalogs and content development were critical to the success of clients like Royal Case, whose business tripled after we completely redesigned their catalog. The photo-rich catalog went from being a price-focused list to a full capability veiwbook.
Who doesn’t like a good story?
Children’s book illustration went fully digital for me, making it fast and convenient to quickly render illustrations. This book, Mr. Bubbles and the Big Move, helped to promote the new ownership of the TootsieToy product.
Logo development
Logos on the right were from 1998, while ones on the left were from 2012.
My experience is varied, however my focus has always been creating tools which result in tangible sales. It's my hope that my background can help a manufacturing company increase sales based on marketing communications, working hand-in-hand with product development, customer satisfaction, and forecasting customers' needs.
