Most recently I designed, developed, and maintained MyMobileWalls.com. The success of this company is almost entirely due to high ranking organic search results. This company used no outbound sales. About 95% of sales were inbound from discovering our site. The other 5% were repeat sales or referrals. (Please note that for privacy reasons I have intentionally discouraged search engines from finding this portfolio site, so it has not been optimzed.)
During 1998-2004 I owned The Brown Group studio, and developed an average of 30 web sites per year. This included both design, implemenation, and content development, as well as e-commerce development in some cases. The majority of these were for manufacturers in Eastern Iowa, and for many this was their first web site.
During my employment at Apache Hose & Belting I maintained the website using Dreamweaver. I also proposed new designs for Apache, as well as two acquired companies, Ex-Cel Belting and Ag Belt, Inc.
Of the sites above, Pareti Mobile Walls, StickerSkinz, and ProGood Homes are still active today.
Sites highlighted in blue are active. The others below have been updated, as I stopped offering freelance web design services when I started my manufacturing business.
My experience is varied, however my focus has always been creating tools which result in tangible sales. It's my hope that my background can help a manufacturing company increase sales based on marketing communications, working hand-in-hand with product development, customer satisfaction, and forecasting customers' needs.
